Scene Walkers

Scenes and who walks

1.       After  dance scene, dancers walk off normally & freeze when Robertson starts talking.

2.       After bar scene, everyone is walking DS.  Ty and Hannah A are tattered.

3.       After Joey, Lee and Rose scene, everyone is walking. Ty, Hannah A, and Abbey are walking with Irene – in the same proximity, when Rose, Irene and Robertson speak, everyone freezes.

4.       BEFORE Banks, everyone is walking – Carson, Ty, Abbey and Hannah W are shabby. Banks stops and begs. Fanny and Lucille walk past them.

5.       Before Sidney and Fanny scene, Fanny comes in from RS with a bag of groceries. Hannah A, Carson, Abbey, Graham, and Lawrence are shabby.

6.       After Sidney and Fanny’s scene, Carson, Ty, Hannah A, Abbey, Hannah W, Graham, Savannah, Irene, and Lawrence are shabby.

7.       The walkers begin walking after Rose’s money, money, money.  Walkers are Carson, Ty, both Hannahs, Abbey, Graham, Savannah, Michelle, Lawrence, Paige, and Allison. This is during Lee’s scene on the Mississippi. 

8.       Before the welfare scene, Walkers are Carson, Ty, both Hannahs, Savannah, Michelle, Lawrence, Paige, and Allison. People need to come in at different times.

9.       Before the Edie and Lee scene, everyone was walking around Lee. After the Lee and Edie scene, everyone is walking with the exception of the  Baum women and Grandpa.  Everyone will stop where they are and create a stage picture and freezes.

10.   Everyone moves when the clock sounds after the last buzzer.

Critiques for Feb 16

Rehearsal on Sunday - on stage in costume by 2. We will work on scenes after Blakes wonderful monologue we worked on Thursday. Then we will go through the play.  Get a lot of sleep Saturday night. Remember we go to Stratford this week. I will have instructions after I speak to coaches.

Welfare people – stage business	Kapush- brewing up a life long hatred of the United Stated eating out of a paper bag Dugan- counting his money Irene-rosary and union organizing book – will look for one.) Grace- taking care of the baby Savannah- rummaging through purse and doing makeup Paige-talking to Hannah and cats cradle Ty-reading newspaper talking to Moe and Lee Abbey- secretary talking to the people in the welfare office and filling out forms Hannah W- talking to Paige We need BIG MOVEMENT stage business.  Think about the drivers license office.  What are people doing other than talking on phones.
Quinn & the dance instructor	We have to get you lighter shoes. I don’t know about dancing with the chair. Let’s think about this.
Lights, sound, crew	Light up on Graham earlier.  Lindsey, I don’t know about the lighter set. That means that we will see actors moving the set around.  Let’s think about it. Lindsey -Great job learning this! Cole and Lindsey - Tell me how you are going to experiment with the lighting? Be more specific. Text. Cody – Listen to the music and see where we need to add or decrease music.Text Alyssa, Kayla, Madi, Isaac.. In your opinion what are the weakest scenes in the show. How can we fix them?
Everyone	Everyone laugh at Moe’s jokes or look confused People laugh when Hayden is dancing People noises when dancing More people in the back during the Quinn and Robertson scene PEOPLE NOISES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quiet backstage. Pay attention.  Know when you are supposed to come in. SMILE in the beginning. We need PEOPLE NOISES. Laugh while dancing. Good laugh, Fanny and Doris.
Diana	Good in the bar scene We did not see you in the background, but heard you backstage. Work on your character and don’t visit backstage.
The bartender	when you put the chair up on the bar shake your head or hang your head because you had to go out of business
Fanny	Good slow motion and stage work
Robertson	Don’t rush your lines. Germany, soft shoe, scene, Good job tonight.
Quinn and Robertson	Work on the relationship with each other.
Quinn	Much better on the monologue.Watch happy feet
