One critic judge I had said – don’t play sadness- feel sadness or tragedy and let it come out from your soul to be displayed to the audience. That must be true for comedy. Be so invested in your character that he does funny things without realizing they are funny. That is just the way he/she is. Be confident – crystal clear – in your character. Once you have decided how your character is – commit to it fully 110%.

ReplyDeleteI feel like this is also how theatre is, you should let the audience see you feel, not as much see you act like you feel.
